Floratam St. Augustine Turfgrass
Floratam St. Augustine turfgrass is a very good quality grass which has a slightly larger leaf and stolen than other St. Augustine types of turfgrass. It has a beautiful deep green with a bluish hue to it. The stolons have a deep dark red color to them.

Floratam St. Augustine is the most drought hearty grass of the St. Augustine varieties and it is also very chinch bug and St. Augustine Decline resistant.

Raleigh St. Augustine Turfgrass
Raleigh St. Augustine is also a good quality of St. Augustine grass. It has a rich green color and is very close in looks to common St. Augustine grass. (Common St. Augustine is simply the native St Augustine Turfgrass)
Raleigh St. Augustine grass is also chinch bug and St. Augustine Decline resistant.

Tiff 419 Bermuda Turfgrass
Tiff 419 Bermuda Turfgrass is one of the most widely used Bermuda turfgrasses. Tiff 419, it’s
proper name is Tifway 419, is a dwarf Bermuda grass. It has a deep green color and small leaf blades.
Tiff 419 is a hardy turfgrass and can withstand traffic better than the St. Augustine varieties of lawn grasses. It is also one of the most drought hearty turfgrasses grown today. Thus making it a very good grass to use in our South Texas, often times, drought plagued area.

El Toro Zoysia Turfgrass
El Toro Zoysia turfgrass is similar in appearance to Raleigh St. Augustine with slightly smaller and softer leaves. It has a deep rich green and a nice thick turf quality.
El Toro Zoysia is a much slower growing grass than the other turfgrasses available. It has a growing height of about 5″ but should be kept mowed at 1-1/2 inches in height.
Like the Bermuda turfgrasses, El Toro Zoysia (and all Zoysia grasses) has a rhizome root system. It too, is a very hardy turfgrass. El Toro Zoysia will hold up fairly well when drought conditions prevail.
It is more hardy than St. Augustine in this respect but not as hardy as the Bermuda grasses.
