Due to the frequently occurring drought conditions in South Texas, The Edwards Aquifer Authority, the City of San Antonio and many of the surrounding cities have implemented restrictions on the types of Turf Grass that can be installed on newly constructed dwellings. These restrictions limit the varieties of grass to include only those which are drought resistant.

After studying different types of Turf Grass Charles decided that Tifway 419 (Tiff 419 Bermuda Turf Grass) would be the best type of grass to grow and sell to the San Antonio Area.  It is not overly priced and fits well within the guidelines with respect to varieties of turf grasses allowed by the water conscious cities of South Texas.

Actually, Tiff 419 Bermuda Turf Grass is the most drought hearty grass available. It is equal to common Bermuda yet not nearly as aggressive and is much finer in texture.
